ARTICLE 15, Sections 1-5, pp.27-28

Section 1: Headed by the Priest under jurisdiction of Archdiocese and Hierarch.
Section 2: The aims and purposes of the Parish are to keep, practice and proclaim the Orthodox Christian Faith pure and undefiled.

The Diakonia (Work & Ministry) of the Parish (Section 4)

  1. Proclaim and Teach the Gospel in accordance with Orthodox Faith.
  2. Sanctify the Faithful through God’s grace in:
    1. Worship
    2. Divine Liturgy
    3. Sacramental Mysteries
  3. Enhance Spiritual Life of Parishioners
  4. Add to Their Numbers (Growth)
    1. Instruction (Catechism)
    2. Baptism
    3. Chrismation
  5. Edify Parishioners by establishing educational and philanthropic activities that foster the aims and mission of the Parish in:
    1. Orthodox Faith (Knowledge)
    2. Orthodox Ethos (Praxis)
  6. Engage in inter-Orthodox, ecumenical and interfaith activities.
  7. Conform faithfully to the worship, sacramental life, doctrines, canons and discipline of the Church.
  8. Adhere to Archdiocesan Charter, Regulations and Hierarchical encyclicals.
