In hotel and motel rooms there is a little sign or placard hanging on the door handle. What does it say? It says, ?Do Not Disturb.? The sign is there because most people are either on some sort of vacation and want to sleep in or they want privacy like they have in their own home.

This past week we were confronted with yet another tragedy involving teenagers. Jacob Campbell and Lisa Grijalva died when he, a 14 year old, shot her a 15 year old, and then turned the gun on himself.

How many of us have a garden? In that garden grow fruits and mostly vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, etc). We cook or can the vegetables or make lots of salads in the summer. We give some away to share our abundant crop with neighbors and friends.

Today our nation celebrates one of its major holidays. In fact, Independence Day is the preeminent day of the year in our nation?s history. As we know, July 4th is the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain by the Continental Congress in 1776.
