   How many of us own a home? Perhaps I should ask how many of live in a home that our bank owns? Many people have mortgages on our homes. If we watch the news we know that a mortgage or lending crisis exists. Several national banks have gone belly-up and closed within the past year.

   I once had a conversation with a certain man. He was angry with me because he thought I had said some disparaging remarks about him to other people.

   The theme of our most recent Archdiocese Clergy-Laity Congress was ?Gather My People to My Home.? Our beloved Archbishop Demetrios delivered the keynote on this theme and has written extensively since to elaborate on its deeper meaning.

   Have you ever wondered what other people thought of you? What they say about you to others? For most of us it is a central activity of our life. Some of us probably need to worry less about what others think and say about us. Perhaps some of us need to ponder this more often.
